Ocean Village
The cruise line known as Ocean Village is a small division of Carnival Corp, and consists of two very large cruise ships. The ships are named Ocean Village One and Ocean Village Two and the company has its headquarters in the UK. Cruises are unstructured, flexible and family oriented. Cruises follow the holiday schedule for the UK, offering moderately priced short cruises which include airfare to the embarkation port.
Ocean Village cruises are a good way for those who have never been on a cruise to be introduced to the joy of cruising. Ocean Village says that their cruises are “the cruise for people who don’t take cruises”. Ocean Village offers cruises which last from one to three weeks. The ships, previously in service with another line, are now refurbished for the pleasure of younger cruisers.
The Ocean Village cruises are family-friendly, offering good supervision during onboard activities for young children and teens. The cruises are fun, trendy and informal, as are the interiors of the two ships. Cruises often take passengers from island to island, stopping at ports of call with safe beaches. Cruise itineraries offer land excursions at some ports of call.
Ocean Village One has a bright and cheerful interior with trendy décor to suit young passengers onboard. Ocean Village Two has a teen centre where free spirited young passengers can enjoy cruising. The main dining room buffet offers a wide variety of child friendly food and dress is casual.
