NCL Cruises
The Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has offered affordable cruises since 1994. It is unique as a cruise company which offers Freestyle Cruising. NCL offers accommodation, entertainment, meals and other amenities in one complete package. The casual atmosphere of Freestyle Cruising provides flexibility, with no deadlines or schedules to meet.
Cruisers committed to a “green earth” choose NCL Cruises, a finalist in the 2008 World Savers Awards presented by Condé Nast Traveller Magazine. In 2007 the company’s comprehensive recycling programme for protecting the oceans through recycling waste products was equivalent to generating electricity for 575 homes. Each ship has state-of-the-art processing equipment onboard for recycling solid and liquid waste.
Cruising with NCL offers meals when you are hungry at thirteen restaurants. Dressing up for meals is up to you, and no alarm clocks are ever needed: not even on the last day. NCL cruises are family friendly and staffed with carefully selected, fun loving youth staff. The staff are trained and certified in CPR, First Aid, and Communication and Confidence building skills for children aged 2-17. The youth staff offer age-appropriate activities for ages 2-17.
There are casinos on ten NCL ships in addition to varied activities such as jogging and walking tracks, spas, basketball courts, fitness centres and much more. Some cruises offer shore excursions by pre-arrangement. Among the destinations are Alaska, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, New England, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, South America and the Pacific coast. NCL offers special deal weekend cruises for well-needed short breaks and special occasions.
